The truth is, it’s never too early to start thinking about anti-aging creams. In fact, there are studies that show the earlier you start, the longer your skin will stay looking healthy and youthful.
Taking care of your skin means drinking enough water, washing your face regularly, getting enough sleep, and using face creams and moisturisers. However, there are so many anti-aging products out there now that it can be hard to know what to choose. That’s why we’ve put together some of our favourites to help you narrow it down.
Best Overall Cream
Neutrogena’s Rapid Wrinkle Repair comes out as the best anti-aging cream. With SPF 30 built-in, this lightweight cream is perfect for everyday use as it won’t weigh you down. It’s a good price too, at under £20 per oz. People who have used this say that it firmed skin, reduced and smoothed fine lines and wrinkles, and moisturised their skin wonderfully.
Olay’s Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream is our best value for money, as this moisturiser is priced at around £20 for nearly 2 ounces! This cream is packed with anti-aging ingredients like niacinamide and hyaluronic acid. This cream will improve skin hydration by 50% over 24 hours, and improved skin’s overall texture in as little as four weeks!
Best Overall Serum
Our favourite serum by far was the SkinCeuticals Metacell Renewal B3 Serum. Formulated with niacinamide, this cream can reduce the look of line and wrinkles after just four weeks of use. Many users of this product have also commented on the plumpness of their skin, almost immediately after use. However, this is an expensive brand – at over £100 for nearly 2 ounces.
Best Value Serum
No7’s Laboratories Firming Booster Serum is another excellent serum, but for only a fraction of the price. This serum dispenses through a rollerball application which massages the active anti-aging ingredients into the skin. In 8 weeks, clinical studies showed an improvement in the firmness of the cheeks and jawline. And over 80% of users have said their skin felt firmer after just one week.
Best Anti-Aging Day Cream
For everyday use, you want something that’s going to feel lightweight, and not like your face is covered in goop. RoC’s Multi Correxion 5 in 1 Daily Moisturiser does just that. This cream absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy residue on your face – making it perfect for applying just before your makeup! It also has built-in SPF 30 – the recommended amount for protection against skin damage.
Best Anti-Aging Night Cream
Caudalie’s Resveratrol Lift Night Infusion Cream is a clear winner in this category. This is a powerful skin smoother and hydrator, with studies showing increased hydration (43% in little over six hours!) and skin texture showing improvement in four weeks.
Best Eye Cream
Lancome’s Absolute Revitalising Eye Cream is a luxurious splurge. With rose extract, plant oils, and vitamins C, E, and B5, this cream will make you feel better just applying it. This eye cream has reportedly increased skin’s firmness in just four weeks, and increased user’s skin hydration by 41%!
