Non-surgical Facelifts

We all want to halt the process of aging. One day your skin is smooth and soft and the next day you notice crow’s feet, laughter lines, frown lines – the list goes on. Obviously, there is nothing wrong with aging naturally, but if you feel that you’re not quite ready for that then there are options.

But this doesn’t mean you have to go under the knife if you don’t want to. Fortunately, there are now many non-surgical options for facelifts – meaning you can gain your more youthful appearance without too much recovery time.

What treatment should I go for?

This will all depend on what you want. Do you want tighter looking skin, fewer wrinkles, or just brighter skin? Different treatments will give different end results, so make sure you’re clear on what you want before committing to one particular treatment.

Botox

Injectable treatments like Botox are the most common non-invasive procedure available at the moment. Botox and other botulinum toxin injections are considered very safe and effective and are often a more cost-effective treatment for those who don’t want to spend a fortune.

These treatments work by temporarily blocking nerve signals and muscle contractions – tightening the skin and making the appearance of lines and wrinkles less noticeable. Of course, these aren’t permanent solutions, and you will have to regularly get these treatments in order to keep those wrinkles at bay.

Dermal fillers

Another option for wrinkle reduction is dermal fillers. Similar to Botox, these are injectable treatments that contain gel-like substances. Dermal fillers reduce wrinkles by increasing the volume of your skin, allowing it to be plumper and reducing the wrinkles that are caused by the skin’s loss of elasticity.

Again, these are not a permanent solution, and you will have to regularly get these done in order to retain the smooth skin. Depending on what kind of dermal filler you opt for they can last anywhere between 6 and 12 months.

Ultherapy

Ultherapy works by delivering ultrasound heat therapy to your face to lift the deeper layers of skin. This makes the overall appearance of your face tighter and brighter. This is one of the more expensive treatments on the list, and the effects can last from a few months to a year, depending on how much you want your skin tightened.

Microneedling

This is a treatment which is used to create firmer skin which looks both more radiant and smoother. During this procedure, tiny needles are used to deliver heat-based energy to the deeper layers of your skin. This helps to create new skin tissue and collagen – improving skin’s firmness and overall quality.

The cost of microneedling will depend on how large an area you want covered and how many sessions you’ll need. Most people need at least 3 or 4 sessions in order to achieve the best results.

Remember to consult a medical professional before embarking on any kind of procedure. They will be able to specifically tailor the treatments for you and ensure that you get the best results – for you and for your skin.
